One or three Tarot cards: from image to question
Choose a one-card spread, shuffle, optionally cut and select a face-down card. Describe one detail before reading the prompt. If nothing comes to mind, you can simply write that. There is no need to force an image to fit your experience.
These guides describe Yi’s existing practice. The CardMira table currently offers one or three cards; larger spreads are covered here as learning material.
One card: take a pause
Choose a one-card spread, shuffle, optionally cut and select a face-down card. Describe one detail before reading the prompt. If nothing comes to mind, you can simply write that. There is no need to force an image to fit your experience.
Three cards: from situation to a possible step
In selection order, use “What I am facing,” “Another perspective” and “What I could try.” These are Yi’s reflection positions, not conclusions about past, present and future. Write one sentence per position, then notice any contradiction you need to clarify.
Choose whether to continue
Turn “What must happen?” into “How could I respond under these conditions?” For example: what boundaries should I clarify before accepting a new task? After adopting an observation, you still start the Yi cast yourself. Neither the cards nor your question select the hexagram. You may also stop with your notes.
